Igualdad de género y empoderamiento de las mujeres en las empresas de economía social: Factores facilitadores y barreras

Las mujeres siguen estando infrarrepresentadas en el mercado laboral. En la UE, ganan un 14,1% menos que los hombres, y siguen experimentando barreras para acceder y permanecer en el mercado laboral (Eurostat, 2021a). Actualmente, la pandemia del COVID-19 ha exacerbado la dimensión de género de las desigualdades sociales y económicas, produciendo un grave impacto de género y el riesgo de marginación económica de las mujeres. ¿Por qué esperamos que la economía social y solidaria mejore la igualdad de género en el trabajo? Por lo tanto, el documento analizará el potencial y los límites de la EES para promover la igualdad de género y la capacitación de las mujeres. En el análisis se ha hecho referencia a la literatura existente y a la información disponible sobre el sector, incluyendo entrevistas con expertos y casos ilustrativos dentro de la Red Diesis, una de las más amplias redes europeas de apoyo a la economía social y al desarrollo de empresas sociales. El objetivo es mostrar soluciones impactantes de las EES y acercar la economía social y solidaria a la perspectiva de género para aumentar su impacto en el apoyo al crecimiento inclusivo y sostenible.
